The YogaGIrlsRising program was developed, to guide young women on a transformational journey towards self-empowerment and self-expression. By harnessing the power of yoga, meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness, I encourage girls to unlock their true potential and embrace their innate strength. It is through this beautiful and holistic practice that they learn to cultivate deep understanding, compassion and appreciation for themselves, as well as a greater sense of self-awareness and ability to navigate life's challenges with resilience and grace.

The advent of COVID had a devastating impact on this generation's ability to have healthy, open, and positive social interactions, forcing them into isolation, and creating a huge chasm between them and their peers, families, and more importantly, their connection with themselves.  Coupled with the unrelenting negative role that social media has played in their daily lives, roughly 40% of young girls worldwide are suffering from mental and physical disorders, such as anxiety, depression, body dismorphic disorder, to name but a few. 

 

Having witnessed these disastrous influences, I felt strongly called to design a program that would help these young ladies find their inner compass, connect with their true authentic voice, foster a more positive and loving relationship with their bodies, and get back to their pure and joyful essence.
